This session discusses national, regional and global approaches to enhancing product traceability and safety through use of batch compliance. It presents a critique of the different approaches around the globe and will ask attendees whether the current approach is fit for purpose- the mash up is creating by the juxtaposing this with the idea that batch compliance has little or no political traction as it is not sexy amongst politicians in the context of the world's fastest growing and hardest to control market place; the internet. The focus of the debate should not be about batch compliance but about creating regulation to stimulate collective supply chain responsibility for rogue products.
Come equipped to share your views as a professional and/or as a consumer and help inform the debate, in what will be for a few days at least the consumer product nerve centre of Europe
